FAQ’S

Has the development application been lodged?

Yes, the DA was submitted to North Sydney Council on the 11th of March 2020. The community was publicly notified of our application around the 30th of March.

During the DA North Sydney Council and the North Sydney Local Planning Pane requested a range of amendments to our design that has now been completed and lodged with North Sydney Council

These amendments are now on public exhibition for 14days for the community to make comment.

The development Application will be assessed by the North Sydney Local Planning Panel on the 20th of July.

How long will it take to be approved?

This is subject to council processes however DA’s typically take between 6 – 9 months.

What sort of development are you proposing?

We have submitted a development application for a single commercial building.

Are the plans for the building going to affect the area and neighbouring properties?

The plans are largely compliant with the zoning for the site and highly sympathetic to all development requirements of North Sydney Council.

Our application has given much though to height, bulk & scale, sunlight access and state-of-the-art architectural design.

In the region of $160,000,000. This is the predicted cost of acquiring the land, constructing and fitting out our proposed building. 

How many new jobs will be created by the building?

Blue & William will create a building to house approx. 1800+ permanent new jobs in this building alone.

Potential tenants we are talking to will contribute between $500million to $600million to North Sydney annual Gross Realised Product (GRP).

The employment multiplier effect created by this additional GRP will help create 1300+ additional jobs in the North Sydney area.

The construction of the building itself will create an additional 400 full time jobs whilst under construction. 

What other economic benefits will this building deliver to the North Sydney Community?
